I often find myself getting down on myself for not doing more. I often find myself trying to do more than I can, and failing at nearly everything because I’m spread so thin. If you’re an overachiever or over-doer, you might find yourself in the same situation — feeling bad for not meeting your own UNREALISTIC expectations.
This post is just a little reminder to stop doing that crap. Stop getting down on yourself. Stop trying to do more than you can. This post is a reminder to dig a littler deeper into the things that REALLY MATTER in life. This post is permission to LET GO of some things that really aren’t as important, or should take care of themselves. You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to control everything. The control you think you have is an illusion, anyway.
Remember to stop and take pride and joy in the many things you ARE doing, that you HAVE accomplished. Remember to enjoy the journey. Stop expending the moment for some promise of tomorrow. Have peace NOW. Have joy NOW. Be kind to yourself NOW.
Do your best. Let that be enough. Let go of the rest. Enjoy each step of the journey.
